Dr. Multhaup is Professor and former Chair of the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics at McGill University (2011–2021).
He studied Biology at the University of Cologne (Germany) and graduated with a Diploma degree (1984) before receiving his Ph.D. at the Institute for Genetics from the University of Cologne (1986). Thereafter, he moved to the University of Perth (Australia) to pursue post-doctoral research in the Department of Pathology with the laboratory of Prof. Colin L. Masters, M.D. Before joining McGill, he served as the Chair of Biochemistry at the Freie Universitaet of Berlin (Germany).
